BrenMar Associates, established in 2002, is comprised of individuals who have more than sixty years of experience in high school and college administration, human resources, and business marketing and management.

Brenda A. Breton
College and secondary education administration has been the focus of Brenda’s extensive career. Brenda has worked as a high school Principal and Assistant Principal at Greely High School. At Westbrook College (now UNE) she was an Assistant Academic Dean, Registrar, and Assistant Business Professor. In all other positions she has worked closely with college admissions and guidance services to assess students’ strengths and raise aspirations. Brenda’s professional emphasis has been to guide young adults in identifying signature strengths and devising strategies for achieving success. She currently uses her understanding of and experience with adolescent development to assist students to select a collegiate environment that matches their interests and strengths. Brenda holds a Bachelor of Science and Masters in Educational Administration. Brenda is a consultant for The College Board and MELMAC Foundation Grant coach.


Daniel B.  Breton

Dan has an extensive business background having worked 30 plus years in the corporate sector in marketing and public relations areas.  During this time Dan participated in several private/public sector partnerships efforts to encourage Maine students to continue their education beyond high school and was directly involved with student mentoring, career counseling, and arranging internships.  Dan has a thorough understanding of the financial aid process having worked with many private and public budgets and with the federal and state legislative process. Dan is eager to share his data and philosophy for not only finding the best academic match for you, but also finding the most cost effective method for funding your education.  


Prashant Mittal

Prashant (Pr-shaant) is employed at the University of Southern Maine as a Statistician and an adjunct Instructor. He has been teaching mathematics and statistics in various institutional settings for more than 10 years. He has taught at both graduate and under graduate levels at University of Southern Maine and University of New England.  He has given trainings and presentations at high schools, corporate offices, state funded agencies, seminars and conferences.  He started his teaching career in India by preparing over five hundred students for various competitive exams like the SAT, GRE, GMAT and more. He then moved to Maine and continued his pursuit for a better education system by teaching high school and college level students. He has a track record of result oriented teaching in which he makes his students work hard on the concepts and subject matter and provides them with time saving mathematical tricks and techniques. The best SAT Math score on record for his students is 800 out of 800. He himself scored a perfect math score on GRE.  On average, his students improve their SAT Math score by over 100 points.



Mary F. Lynch
Mary Simcock Lynch will be affectionately remembered as a joyful, intelligent, compassionate, caring friend, mother, sister and daughter. Mary's strong belief in family and friendships was exhibited in her creation of BrenMar Associates as well as her many leadership roles in the community and non-profit organizations. Mary was admired for her personal grace, wise counsel, generous spirit and beautiful warm smile. BrenMar's student-focused philosophy, success and future endeavors will continue to represent Mary's vision and passion for guiding young adults to personal and professional success. Mary's spirit will always be an integral part of BrenMar Associates. The many young lives Mary touched and the memories she created will impact others for years to come. We at BrenMar Associates are grateful for many years together as friends and business partners and for the positive impact Mary has had on our lives.
